How Gotcha Covered Discloses Our Income Potential
Naturally, one of the first questions you will ask of any franchise system is, "How much money can I make"? After all, they are asking you to spend anywhere from $50,000 to $1,000,000 dollars to buy into their system, and it's perfectly reasonable to want to know what your return on your investment will be.
Well, if you haven't discovered this yet, get ready to be frustrated by the answer most franchisors will give you. They will have a variety of ways of saying it, but the basic answer that you will get is, "it depends, and that's all we can tell you." And believe it or not, this answer is supposed to protect you.
The Federal Trade Commission, which governs the franchise system, created certain laws and guidelines regarding how franchises can disclose income potential as a protection for you so that unscrupulous franchisors don't make wild promises to get you to invest in a shady system. Unfortunately, this 'protection' can get in the way of helping you make an informed decision.
The good news is that Gotcha Covered has a fully legal and FTC- approved method of answering this question, and it's really straightforward- we just show you what some of our franchisees have made! That's right- our income disclosure shows actual tax-prepared income statments of several of our top franchisees. You can see what their gross sales were, what expenses they had, and what they actually took home as net income! We include a few different income statements so that you can get a feel for the variance in how people operate their Gotcha Covered franchises.
Believe it or not, there are only a very few franchisors who choose to disclose this way, even though it's perfectly legitimate and acceptable. We're not sure why most other franchisors don't disclose income potential this way, although we suspect it's because perhaps the numbers aren't so good. After all, if you had good news, wouldn't you want to share it with the world?
So, how much CAN you make with Gotcha Covered?
While we can't disclose our income potential on this site [HINT: we're very proud of it], it is available in our official FDD (Franchise Disclosure Document), which is available for free upon request. All you have to do is submit a request for information and one of our friendly and helpful Franchise Development folks will get in touch with you to discuss Gotcha Covered in more detail and go over the FDD with you.
